My heart sings when reading some of the comments from the CAPstone attendees! I appreciate the opportunities that I have with IAAP and I am also grateful to the IAAP members that see the value in pursuing their learning journey and including project management into their world. I see this as a WIN/WIN - I really enjoy sharing the power of project management with you, and you can learn how beneficial it is to understand, and apply, project management practices in your role and within your organization. Here are some of the comments from your colleagues who attended the Project Management Specialty Certification program that was held remotely in the Spring:
“As our project management course draws to a close, I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for the invaluable lessons and insights you've imparted throughout these weeks. This journey has truly been a transformative experience for me, and it's with a mix of sadness and excitement that I bid farewell to this phase of learning.”
“I want to extend my sincerest appreciation for your unwavering passion and dedication to our growth. Your commitment to imparting invaluable skills to aspiring administrative professionals like me is truly commendable. I am profoundly grateful for the wisdom you've shared and the guidance you've provided. Please accept my best wishes for your continued success and fulfillment. May your enthusiasm for your profession continue to inspire countless others on their own journeys of discovery.”
“Your guidance throughout this journey has been invaluable. These eight weeks have passed in the blink of an eye, and it's all thanks to your ability to infuse our learning experience with energy and enjoyment. Your role as our shepherd has been instrumental in shaping our understanding and enthusiasm for project management.”
“I wholeheartedly believe that any company would be incredibly fortunate to have you as a consultant. Your expertise and passion for teaching shine through, and I'm genuinely grateful to have had the privilege of being under your instruction. Thank you for your dedication and for making this learning journey not only informative but truly memorable.”
“Your guidance has opened my eyes to the prevalence of project management tools within our organization. It's both gratifying and humbling to witness their application in real-world scenarios, prompting a newfound eagerness to integrate them seamlessly into my workflow.”
“The significance of project management transcends mere business objectives; it's a life skill with far-reaching implications. Understanding this has broadened my perspective, enhancing both personal and professional spheres.”
“Armed with a deeper comprehension of project management principles and methodologies, I now approach meetings with a newfound confidence. Your teachings have empowered me to engage meaningfully and contribute constructively to project discussions.”
“The Project Management Specialty Certification course has been enlightening, brimming with invaluable lessons learned. I've truly grasped the significance of honing project management skills not just for the present but as a cornerstone for future endeavors. This realization serves as both a reassurance and a motivator, as it underscores my ongoing development in a skill set that not only sets me apart today but will continue to do so down the line.”
“Thank you for a fantastic class. I have learned so much and been inspired by your excitement and passion! I don't know who said it in the Zoom meeting yesterday but I second the comment.... I would take any class from you, on any subject at any time! You are a fabulous instructor!”
“Through the past eight weeks, I have gained confidence in my abilities and clarity of purpose. I always knew there was a better way to do things, but I didn’t have the knowledge or ability to articulate my thoughts and follow through to get it done. Through this course, I have gained the knowledge and the skills to effectively communicate viable solutions AND manage each step through to a successful completion. I have the toolkit and I know how to use it! There is a proven process that works, and I now know how to make it happen.”
“I wanted to thank you for one of the best IAAP CAPStone courses I’ve taken thus far. Your energy is contagious and it kept the entire class engaged in each of the lessons throughout the past eight weeks.”
“Thank you again for all of your work with this course! You are an excellent instructor, and I hope to take another course with you in the future. If I can ever be of any help to you, feel free to contact me any time.”
“My final lesson is actually from you, not necessarily the course. I have been very impressed with the diplomatic way you have addressed comments and discussion posts that had some "old fashioned" approaches to modern scenarios. I have really appreciated how you work to keep our zoom sessions on track despite any efforts to drive the conversation in a different direction. You are a very good facilitator, Mary Beth. It is clear that you have worked with a large variety of personalities and learned from each of those experiences. Thank you for modeling that to us.”
“I have learned so much from your class. I enjoy your enthusiasm and love for PM. I have to be honest, I started this class shortly after I started a large project (larger than I’ve done alone before), which I’m still in the midst of. I only wish I had started your class first, because now I feel like I’m trying to catch up on doing things according to the project map. Thank you, Mary Beth! It’s been a wonderful journey of growth and learning.”
“I truly have enjoyed this course and what it has taught me in these almost 8 weeks. You style of teaching is not intimidating and I like your diligence in ensuring everyone understands what is going on in each phase of project management.”
“Thank you for teaching me! AND THANK YOU for being a wonderful instructor throughout this course. Your energy and enthusiasm is inspiring!”
