Mary Beth is the owner of MBI Consulting, LLC which specializes in project management consulting and educational programs. Mary Beth has over 20 years of experience in project management, change management, performance improvement and risk. Mary Beth’s experience focuses on the development of project management programs which includes establishing PMO’s (Project Management Office’s), building project management teams, introducing project management standards, best practices and governance – all in an effort to help organizations succeed in achieving their goals through project management practice.
She has had the opportunity of working in various industries including publishing, energy, non-profit organizations, finance, insurance, emergency management and NYS government agencies.
As a 2013 graduate from the PMI Leadership Institute Master Class, Mary Beth has continued her relationships with her classmates who are scattered around the globe. This has provided the participants with an incredibly meaningful experience in practices and leadership styles that may be introduced by various cultures.
As an active contributor to the local Upstate NY PMI Chapter, Mary Beth now holds the position of Program Director, PMIEF. Previously, she held positions as the VP of Education and Certification, Assistant VP of Education, VP of Special Projects and has participated in a number of committees and events. She has been active in the Chapter since 2006 and on the Board of Directors since 2009.
Additionally, Mary Beth has been a guest speaker at PMI Regional Meetings, has attended several PMI Regional and Global conferences to both learn and contribute to the greater PMI organization.
Mary Beth earned a Masters Certificate in Project Management from Boston University in 2005, earned her PMP certification in 2006, her CSM (Certified ScrumMaster) in January, 2012 and a SPP (Strategic Planning Professional) designation in January, 2016.
